Traveling Adventures!

Two weeks ago my mom and I went to Oregon for a week to visit my Grandma. It was a nice trip seeing relatives and just enjoying time spent together. It was my first time on an airplane that I can remember, and I had so much fun!
A selfie on the plane.
We had fabulous service on the plane:)
My refreshing drink....you'll see more drinks throughout this post:)
The lovely view from my Grandma's house.
Another day, another drink....ice coffee!
My grandma's neighbors had horses and I visited them everyday and fed them carrots.

A view from the driveway.
On the way to Crater lake.
The stunning Crater Lake.
It was gorgeous.
There was a little bit of icy snow on the ground.
God's creation is marvelous!!!
Another drink....on the car ride to Redding.

In Redding California we visited some of my great uncles and aunts.
Another drink....Pete's coffee in the San Francisco airport during our layover!
We saw the Golden Gate Bridge as we landed in San Francisco.
And there you have it!
It was a really enjoyable trip but I am ever so glad to be home!!!

Do you have any summer trips planned?
Do you like flying, have you seen any big landmarks from an airplane?

Newsies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a graduation gift my parents took me to see Broadway's Newsies!!! We saw it in Hollywood at the Pantages Theatre.
I was so so so excited and it was amazing and more!  I soaked in every minute of it and it made me even more a Newsies fanatic...not that I wasn't before.
The Theatre was gorgeous.
There was so much excitement in the air and I was smiling the entire night:)
We ran into some friends from church and it was really fun to see them!
And of course the night couldn't be complete without a selfie in our seats!
The cast looked fabulous and the singing and dancing was incredible!!!! It was a night never to be forgotten.

5k Color Run!

My friend Nicole invited to me do a 5k color run with her and was so kind to cover the cost. So off we went one January day, with excitement in the air, to the race grounds. We donned our white shirts and hair ribbons and set out for a thrilling day. Once we arrived, we received our numbers and color packets. And then we were off!!! It was so much fun and we got completely color blasted!
Here we are before the race in our crisp, clean, white shirts....
and after....

Now, I'm not really that fond of running, but having this to train for was very motivating and it is always more fun running with lots of other people. Of course when you get color all over that helps at lot too!!!
It was and amazing day, and now I can check it off my bucket list!!!
Thanks Nicole for inviting me to do the run with you!!!!!!!!

Do you like to run?
Have you ever done any sort of crazy run like this?

Long over due...

I'm back! And I'm back with gusto! (well I'm going to try to be anyway)
I have had lot's going on and I've got lots to share, but right now how about I share with you my latest sewing project? Alrighty then...
Over Christmas break (I know, that was a long time ago) I decided to make the errand #17 skirt that Olivia Howard over at Fresh Modesty created. I had wanted to make it for a long time and finally decided to go for it. I had a lot of fun making it and it was super easy.
Here it is....
Being that it is denim and long, I don't wear it much since it's rather hot. I wanted to make it more for the fun of making it, although I do really like it too!
This is it, the latest sewing endeavor of mine....It was such a thrilling project, and I hope that it inspired someone out there reading this who has big sewing ambitions, to keep on dreaming up new projects!!!
So hop on over to Fresh Modesty if you are interested in the pattern. Or just hop on over if you want to be encouraged or inspired!
